Signs that Your Inner Child Need Healing

Emotional wounds are formed from our childhood or past experiences, normally they are unpleasant memories that make us feel suffered and want to bury in our life.


Those traumas are stored in our body and subconscious minds that make us have the impulsive reactions and emotions whenever we been triggered by the people or situations that make us recalled the trauma.


This is why we always take actions or make decisions that we will regret immediately, our subconscious mind just have great impact to our thoughts, emotions and behaviours. It just like the habit that is in auto-pilot mode, just like we wake up and brush our teeth, it is an action that we just act unconsciously after we learned as a child.


Most of our behaviours are all unconsciously and controlled by our inner child. If we have a wounded inner child, you might have below signs in your body, mind, emotion, and relationship.


In your physical body, ⦁ You are sensitive and having mental problems such as sleep difficulties, depression, feeling unmotivated, etc. ⦁ Anxiety, forgetful, tired, not focused or productive at work. ⦁ Destructive or addictive behaviors such as eating disorder, workaholism, alcoholism, or drug.


In your emotions, ⦁ Mood swings, anger issues ⦁ Emotional numbness ⦁ Always in anxiety, depressed, grief and guilt. ⦁ Feel isolated, feel distance from people. ⦁ Feel hopeless, can't feel the love and support from friends and family.


In your mind, ⦁ Busy and cluttered mind, overthinking. ⦁ Lack of creativity, innovation, and passion in our job ⦁ Negative thinking and optimistic ⦁ Have trust issues with others, not trust people and over defensive to people and environment, fear to be hurt.


In relationships, ⦁ We keep proofing ourselves, but we still can't get the approval or validation from our parents. ⦁ We are hard to say no to others, we tolerate the mistreatment and difficult to set boundary with others. ⦁ We look forward for intimate relationship, but once we in relationship, we just feel want to run away or end it immediately.
